Out of curiosity, do you know for a fact that they DIDN'T take literature, or is it just that there were no literature winners that makes you think that? I sent a Guru PM to Regina yesterday asking once and for all so I know what to work on for Wintersday (I'm not going to bother submitting literature if they're not going to look at it, but I'll work on something else), but I hadn't heard back. I was wondering if you heard back an official 'gtfo literature' so I can stop wondering and waiting for her reply...

Since 05, there has not been a single mention of literature submissions winning and none of the people I know sent in one this year - a couple were good qualities (yours and mine included), especially compared to a couple others I saw.

Out of this, I'd have to say: Literature aren't taken.

Probably because, compared to artwork, literature takes too much time to go through. With artwork, you can spend a couple seconds and get most of the piece, with literature, you have to read everything - which takes much much more time.

My one suggestion for future contests is that Anet should send out some kind of confirmation so you know they received your entry. :-)

Oh well, it was worth a try I'm glad <3 Nolani <3 people got to read our stories though, even though I would have loved for my story be displayed on the GW site for more people to read I was kinda hoping that with the GoA book out, they would post a few of the entered lit pieces...

Anyway, I hope I'll have a tablet in time to get digital arts for the Wintersday contest I've been so inspired after seeing all the Halloween digital art pieces!

It's too bad we won't get the minis before the contest. It would have been hilarious to see all the little candy corn guys around. :3

Starting to brainstorm what to do for wintersday. It will probably be something with less fire. xD

Also, I got one of my IRL friends to say they'd enter. I hope they do

I'm kicking around the idea of doing something like propaganda posters for Grenth and Dwayna for Wintersday. No idea yet, though

@ Artemis, I agree with that! Even an automated message would work, it's always painful to wait for the results, not knowing if you even sent the work correctly

Omigod, Arghore, that's a pretty list you've got there... But it'll surely go to a work of great quality, as there are no bad options in this workshop.

Me thinks I should go buy some deep blue paper. I like working on coloured media, and blue goes nicely with white for drawing snow. Man. I can't wait for the next workshop

From now on, we can always blame Charlie whenever any kind of winner announcement gets delayed

(J/K Charlie! Loving you back in a "totally non-sexually threatening way")

Hahaha, oh you.

BTW, I forgot to mention I read through your story last week. That's some awesome stuff, and a big shame that ANet doesn't accept quality writing like yours' or Konig's.

A little bit of column A. A little bit of column B.

So slightly threatening and slightly non-sexual?

Also I just finally got a chance to read your story, Thistle. That was really, really good.
